Update Regarding
Claims About Gary Morgan

Recently, additional material has been released online regarding Gary Morgan and his ministry. We recognise that for many people this has reopened questions, uncertainty, and, for some, painful experiences. For many, these conversations can be deeply personal, particularly where matters of faith, trust, and spiritual leadership are involved.

We have engaged GRACE (Godly Response to Abuse in the Christian Environment) to conduct an independent investigation into two areas:

  1. GRACE shall investigate allegations of deceptive ministry practices and the abuse of spiritual trust and authority by Gary Morgan, with an emphasis on public claims detailed in a recent online broadcast.
  2. GRACE shall assess Key 22's prior knowledge and response to related claims, including an investigation of related claims conducted prior to Key 22’s incorporation by an individual who is now in leadership at Key 22. GRACE shall assess the efficacy of said investigation, including consistency with best practices, Scriptural values, and SAMHSA's Six Principles of Trauma-Informed Practice.

GRACE is an independent organisation that assists Christian ministries in responding to allegations of abuse and misconduct. Their work includes conducting impartial investigations, assessing organisational responses, and helping ministries follow recognised trauma-informed practice. Anyone with information relevant to the investigation is encouraged to contact Daniel Barroga at daniel@netgrace.org.

When the investigation is complete, GRACE’s report will be made public.

While the investigation is underway, we will not be making further public comment on these matters. We have entrusted this process to GRACE and will await its findings.

Gary and Sarah Morgan are on administrative leave and will not undertake ministry responsibilities while the investigation is underway. No decision regarding any future ministry will be made until the investigation has concluded and the board has carefully considered GRACE’s findings.

We recognise that this announcement will not answer every question, nor resolve the uncertainty many people are carrying today. An independent investigation provides a careful and credible examination of the matters that have been raised, carried out with integrity, compassion, and appropriate care for everyone participating in the process.
